Apple has cut prices again for refurbished models of the latest iPad and iPad Mini. The news was revealed on the company’s online store where it sells repaired tablets and other devices at a discounted price.
The most budget-friendly 16GB WiFi-only iPad Mini’s refurbished price has been dropped to $279 from $299 (a brand new one costs $329).On the more expensive end, a refurbished 64GB iPad Mini with WiFi and a cellular subscription has been dropped to $549 from $619 (brand new still costs $659).
Meanwhile, fourth generation iPad refurbished prices have been similarly cut. A 16GB WiFi-only refurbished iPad 4 was cut to $419 from $449. At the other end of the cost spectrum a refurbished 64GB iPad 4 model with WiFi and cellular now costs $689, down from $779 previously, but costs $829 brand new.
Apple is expected to unveil refreshed versions of the current iPad, iPad Mini and iPhone 5 late this summer and the latest price cuts suggest the company is trying to move as many units as possible before its current generation of devices becomes old news.
