We know that Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference will focus on iOS and OS X, as it does every year, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be treated to new product announcements. Even though Apple CEO Tim Cook said we won’t see any new products until this fall, one analyst said the company is expected to announce refreshed MacBook Air and MacBook Pro notebooks during the conference.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the new notebooks will be unveiled on June 10. That’s not too surprising since Apple unveiled both a new MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro during last year’s show. Kuo believes the refreshed notebooks will sport Intel’s new Haswell processors and said production for the MacBook Pro is expected to begin next month. He also said that Apple will continue to manufacture the MacBook Pro “because the 13″ MacBook Pro remains the most popular product in the MacBook Line” and noted that emerging markets still demand a device with an optical disk drive.

A recent rumor from DigiTimes said that neither notebook will receive a major design overhaul. That suggests that we’ll just see new hardware under the hoods of both laptops but that the outer core design will remain the same.
