How about this: a fun little rumor says 5th Cell is working on their next Scribblenauts game, and it will focus entirely on the DC Comics Universe. IGN has this rumor.
At one point, the game was titled Scribblenauts Unmasked, but since then it has changed focus and maybe even the longtime protagonist Max might be out of the picture.
That would be a shame, because the point of Scribblenauts is not only to create fun situations with just about anything, but to do so as a lovable everyman stuck in a video game world. An adventure as Max chatting with DC heroes would be far more entertaining than just DC heroes.
Still, the game will feature a wide variety of characters and locations from the comic book universe. Mostly Batman characters like Robin, Batgirl, The Joker, Clayface and Killer Croc are given as examples of characters who will make an appearance in the game. Unless he is removed, Max will have to contend with DC villains using his common task of simply writing any object in the dictionary and having it appear.
It sounds like a lot of fun, and I hope they decide to keep Max since he is the face of Scribblenauts. Even more importantly, we can finally call Cthulhu once again and see if he really has what it takes to defeat Superman. Who will win?
IGN claims the game will be officially announced at E3 for the PC, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
