One of the coolest things about gaming consoles is their secondary utility as streaming boxes. And let’s face it — for some people, this is actually the primary reason they pick up an XBOX or PS3, isn’t it?

Well, with that in mind, here’s a pretty eye-catching scenario: Apparently the adult-film purveyor SugarDVD has expanded its streaming options, and the latest box it’s digging its long, red fingernails into is the upcoming OUYA. That’s right — fresh off of being Kickstarted into existence, the Android-based gaming console is joining the big boys, including the PS3, Roku, iOS and other devices, by getting streaming porn.

Now, this might make you wonder how lax OUYA’s app store management is, but don’t blame the start-up. It didn’t exactly welcome SugarDVD with open arms. No, the skin-flick rental company merely figured out how to get around the approval process by designing its app to be launchable via the browser. Not to be confused with web apps, which run inside the browser, this is still a full-fledged dedicated app. It simply has a protocol that allows it to sidestep typical approval roadblocks. (This is essentially the same way it bypasses the infamously censorial Apple to deliver content to iPad users.)

Maybe OUYA didn’t ask for this, but it’s fortunate timing for it, considering the $99 console is set for mass release on June 4. Wonder how many more people will jump on the bandwagon now, thanks to this news.
