T-Mobile is finally launching the iPhone 5 and the carrier is now accepting pre-orders for the smartphone. The device costs $99 with T-Mobile’s new “Uncarrier” plans, which allow you to pay off the price of a smartphone each month over a 24-month period. T-Mobile worked with Apple to add support for its 4G LTE and HSPA+ networks.
T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network is still in its infancy and is only available in 7 markets (New York City is coming soon), although the carrier has plans to rapidly increase the footprint this year. Customers will fall back on to its HSPA+ network where 4G LTE is not available.
The iPhone 5 is expected to ship on April 12 to customers who pre-order it now.
