Facebook unveiled its new Home software yesterday and the first phone to launch with the software out-of-the-box is the HTC First on AT&T. If you want a similar device without Facebook home and with some of the features in the HTC One, then you might want to hold out for the rumored HTC M4.
The device, pictured above, was first revealed by Pocketdroid in Feb., which said the phone will offer a 4.3-inch display with an 800 x 480-pixel resolution (that’s a lower resolution than the 720p display on the First), a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.1. LlabTooFeR, another tech blog, said on Friday that the M4 will launch with basically the same specs as the new HTC First but with HTC Sense and an ultrapixel camera instead of Facebook Home and a 5-megapixel shooter. To be fair, rumor has it you’ll be able to turn off “Facebook Home” on the HTC First for a pure Android experience, too.
The official name and a launch date still remain mysteries, however.
