The rumors were true. Samsung announced on Thursday that it will open “Samsung Experience Shops” in 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile retail locations around the United States. The kiosks will provide a small part of the store where customers can interact with, learn about and buy Samsung products including tablets, cameras, laptops and smartphones.
“Samsung has been delivering the latest innovation across the consumer electronics category for some time,” president of Samsung Telecommunications America Dale Sohn said. “Consumers will have one place to not only explore and learn about our full portfolio of mobile products, but also the support of a Samsung expert to help with selecting and servicing them.”
Samsung also said that select stores—and it didn’t say how many just yet—will have Samsung Smart Service and on-hand consultants to help with support and product demonstrations. The largest kiosk will measure 460 square feet, although Samsung said the size will vary depending on the Best Buy location.
The Samsung Experience Shops will begin to open this month.
