Archos GamePad

Archos launched three new products in the U.S. recently, including the GamePad gaming device, the 97 Titanium HD tablet and the 80 Titanium tablet.

The 97 Titanium HD tablet sports a 9.7-inch display with a sharp 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 8GB of expandable storage and 1GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the 80 Titanium is equipped with an 8-inch display with a 1024 x 768-pixel resolution, a dual-core A9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8GB of expandable storage and 1GB of RAM. The 97 Titanium HD is available for $249 and the 80 Titanium is available for $169.

The GamePad is a unique product. It’s an Android-powered gaming device that loosely resembles the PSP Vita. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is equipped with a 7-inch HD display, a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, a quad-core GPU, 3D OpenGL graphics support, 8GB of storage expandable storage and 1GB of RAM. It also has all of the gaming controls you’d expect from a modern portable gaming device, including two joysticks, analog buttons, stereo front-facing speakers and more. It’s available for $179, which isn’t too shabby.
