Photos of Second Generation iPad Mini’s Rear Shell Leak

This is supposedly a picture of the second generation iPad mini’s rear shell. And it looks exactly like the current mini, but possibly thicker? The angle of the photo seems to suggest a chunkier frame, probably to account for a Retina display and bigger battery; the Retina display has been hinted at since the first mini hit, and screens are allegedly already in production.

Really, it looks like a shell that’s early into its manufacturing process; that blue Apple logo obviously won’t be final. But it’s (maybe) a rear shell; not particularly telling. However, the fact that they’re being manufactured could mean an announcement is incoming, with a release shortly after.
