Remember Dragon’s Crown? That gorgeous high definition beat ’em up with the ridiculously proportioned women? The one announced at E3 2011 by VanillaWare, the guys who made Odin’s Sphere and Muramasa: The Demon Blade? The one we’ve barely heard any news of since?
Well, a new trailer has finally hit the Internet after a long year and a half of no new information. A few new animations and enemies are shown off, but not much seems to have changed over the years. It’s still a sight to behold, and it really gets the blood pumping and excited for some old fashioned 2D beat ’em up fun.
VanillaWare has always been known for their outrageously gorgeous graphic design, but Dragon’s Crown marks the first time they’ll be working on an original game in high definition. They are also busy at work porting their Wii hit Muramasa: The Demon Blade to the PS Vita as well.
Atlus has scored publishing rights worldwide for the game, and it will be released for both the PS Vita and PlayStation 3. They have promised more information on cross-play later in March.
