Verizon Completes Spectrum Sale to Rural Firms

Verizon Wireless announced on Friday that it has completed a sale of its 700MHz A and B block licenses to Nortex Communications, Panhandle Telecommunications and Colorado Valley Communications.
Nortex acquired part of Verizon’s 800MHz lower B-block spectrum in an area around Dallas, Panhandle purchased a lower B-block licenses in the 700MHz frequency spectrum that covers 12 counties in Texas and Colorado Valley Communications purchased A-block spectrum that covers five counties in Houston, Texas.
Four additional spectrum license sales are in pending, Verizon said.
