Google paid for a bit of airtime during the Grammys last night and chose to air a commercial for the Nexus 4 and Google Now. The one minute clip focused on how users can take advantage of Google Now to manage an active lifestyle. A mother can see the weather before taking her child to school, and a busy commuter can easily check how long public transit will take to get her to work.
The commercial highlights other features, such as restaurant reviews and translations but, perhaps more importantly, shows off a feature of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean that the general consumer base might not know exists. (At least those with older Android handsets). Google wraps up the clip by noting that Google Now provides: “The right information, at just the right time.”
We’re glad to see Google’s pushing specific features of Android, now we hope manufacturers can continue updating devices to the latest version.
