We had an inkling that the update was coming soon, and indeed Apple moved fast on this one. iOS 6.1.1 is now available and it brings with it several bug fixes for iOS 6.1. The update is available over-the-air and should be relatively small. 9to5Mac said the update is meant to address issues specific to the iPhone 4S that caused overheating, poor battery life and more.
