One of the most popular streaming services, Spotify, is finally available for Windows Phone 8 as a beta, Microsoft announced on Friday. Good news is always best before the weekend starts. Because it just went live in the marketplace, it may take a few hours to show up depending on your location.
Windows Phone 8 has been criticized for its lack of killer app selection, and this is one big step toward shutting naysayers up. Spotify for Windows Phone 7 was actually built by a third-party with Microsoft supervision in order to get the service on Windows Phone as quickly as possible. So simply porting it over to WP8 wasn’t so easy—it had to be redone from scratch.
So be on the lookout Windows Phone 8 users! Your device is going to get that much better thanks to the presence of Spotify.
