In response to claims that BlackBerry would exit the Japanese market, the company has released a statement reiterating its commitment to NTT DoCoMo. “We will continue to support the carrier’s ongoing BlackBerry sales in Japan,” a spokesman said.

This still doesn’t address whether or not BlackBerry 10 devices will be offered through NTT DoCoMo; BlackBerry merely said it hasn’t announced plans to do so. Does that mean the BlackBerry Z10 or Q10 won’t ever reach the country? That much is still unclear.

However, the spokesman said BlackBerry will still “continue to provide BlackBerry service and robust support to BlackBerry’s Japanese customers, both consumers and business users.”
