Microsoft’s brand new Office 365 Home Premium suite is now available for purchase in 162 markets and in 21 languages. The suite is available for $99.99 per year, or $8.33 per month, and works for up to five users. A free 30-day subscription is also now available, in case you want to give it a whirl, and Microsoft is offering a discount to the education market. The company’s Office 365 University is available in 52 markets for $79.99 for a four-year subscription.

Home Premium also packs in additional SkyDrive storage (20GB in addition to the 7GB Microsoft already provides for free) and 60 minutes of Skype calls per month.

We’ve been using Office 365 Home Premium for a few days now – it’s too early for a full review, but we can say that we’re already loving the new Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook applications. Both are super light feeling, and it’s amazing how everything is always in sync with our Windows Phone 8 device (especially the One Note application). I also like Microsoft’s social network tie-in in Outlook, which allows you to pull in Facebook or LinkedIn accounts, among other networks, for profile and social status updates.

Office 365 Home Premium is currently only available for the PC, although we expect we’ll see a Mac refresh in the next year or so. Stay tuned for additional thoughts as we spend more time with the suite.
