Pantech just announced the Vega No. 6, an Android smartphone with a truly massive 5.9-inch 1080p display. If you’re keeping track, that makes it the largest 1080p smartphone to date, ahead of the DROID DNA.
The phone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, supports 4G LTE networks and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. It’s also packing a 13-megapixel camera (although we’re skeptical on the company’s claims that it offers “DSLR quality photos”), a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats and a huge 3,150mAh battery.
Pantech didn’t reveal pricing or a specific launch date and it appears that the phone will only hit store shelves in Korea for now.
