Sony took the wraps off today on the Xperia Tablet Z in Japan, but still no word on pricing or availability.
Word circulated last week that Sony might be close to taking the wraps off of the Xperia Tablet Z. Well, a mere three days later the rumors have been proven true as Sony announced the new tablet on Monday morning Japan time. While some of the most important specs were revealed, information such as pricing and availability were still absent.
From the information that was announced we know the Xperia Tablet Z will be sporting a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 32GB of built-in memory along with a microSD slot, 2GB of RAM and NFC support all in a super-thin 6.8mm thick body. It’ll be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at launch, but it isn’t too difficult to surmise that 4.2 won’t be too far behind the launch.
With Mobile World Congress kicking off in Barcelona next month, we’re sure to learn more information at the big show.
