ASUS just announced that its new MeMo Pad 7-inch Android tablet will launch in this month, starting at $149 for the 8GB model. The MeMo Pad offers Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 1GHz processor, a 7-inch display with a 1024 x  600-pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of storage, 5GB of ASUS WebStorage and more.

It will be directly available from ASUS and its retail partners in “select markets” this month but will land in the United States with support for Hulu Plus, Netflix, HBO Go and more. The MeMo Pad will launch in white, gray and pink. We’re guessing we’ll be able to check it out in person during Mobile World Congress in February, so stay tuned for more information as it’s available.
