AT&T is preparing to launch its fourth quarter 2012 results in January, but the carrier recently revealed that it has already sold an incredible amount of smartphones in Q4. The company set a new record by selling 10 million smartphones during the quarter, up from its previous record of 9.4 million smartphones in Q4 2011.
To put that into context, the carrier said that’s about 110,000 smartphones sold each day. Incredible, but we’re not surprised considering that it offers a large buffet of smart devices including high-end Android and Windows Phone 8 devices, which are perfect for attracting anyone who isn’t interested in the iPhone 5.
AT&T isn’t getting too full of itself just yet, though. It hopes to sell 25 million phones in 2013, largely propelled by sales of the iPhone 5.
