New slides of BlackBerry 10 have leaked, seemingly confirming the inclusion of BBM video chat and screen sharing in RIM’s upcoming OS. Nothing new, but then again, RIM hasn’t outright confirmed the feature’s existence. So here’s supposed proof.
RIM’s messaging prowess is still a shining check mark on the company’s bulletin board, and adding video to the mix is a natural progression. It shows that RIM is covering every possible avenue when it finally jumps into the next generation early next year, and should complement BBM Voice quite well.
The leaked slides don’t show off how the feature performs under real-world conditions, but the thought of screen sharing alone is pretty exciting. The feature, as the slide suggests, could be an integral business and collaborative tool, so we can’t wait to see how it works when BB10 is finally launched late next month.
