Own an HTC One S? We have great news. HTC is now rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update owners for the European version of the device. That’s good news even if you own a U.S. version, however, because it suggests that you’ll get the update once U.S. carriers approve the update, too. The folks at XDA Developers said the patch updates your software to version 3.16.401.8, specifically, and weighs in at 612MB.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a major update you’ll want to jump on as soon as possible. It includes amazing features, such as Google Now for updates on the weather, traffic, shipped packages and your favorite sports teams. Google Search is also included, which goes toe-to-toe with Apple’s Siri voice engine. That’s not to mention major performance updates, thanks to Google’s “Project Butter.”
