The official Nexus 7 dock exists and is indeed for sale in some places around the world, like in Akihabara, Japan, where the above unit was purchased. We first heard of the dock in late July when a leak suggested it would launch in the United States in August for $50. That date has come and gone, of course, and there’s still no sign of the accessory launching here.

Nonetheless, you can see what to expect should it come to your region of the world in the two minute unboxing video. It essentially shows the dock itself and the instructions that come with it. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack on the back and a microUSB port for charging, but it’s otherwise a really simple product. Hopefully we’ll know more about a global release soon.
