AT&T announced that it has activated its 4G LTE in seven new markets, including in Richmond, Virginia; Reno, Nevada; Allentown-Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (the hometown of yours truly); Starkville and Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Moscow, Idaho and Pullman, Washington. AT&T’s 4G network currently covers 285 million people in the United States and, where LTE isn’t available, customers can fall back on the company’s HSPA+ network. AT&T recently said that it will invest $14 billion in an effort to expand its 4G LTE and wireline networks to cover more than 300 million people by the end of 2014.

Update: AT&T announced shortly after the publication of this release that it is also activating its 4G LTE network in Little Rock, Arkansas.
