Google on Wednesday revealed its 12th annual (on 12/12/12!) Year-End Zeitgeist, a retrospective that reminds us what our most popular searches were throughout 2012.

There were actually quite a few big stories this year, including the launch of the SpaceX, the Olympics and Curiosity’s landing on Mars, all of which Google has perfectly captured in the pathos of a short video.

When you see something so moving like this, when you see the unlimited potential of human achievement, it’s truly inspiring. It makes you want to jump up and celebrate, not lash out and criticize. We only have two weeks left in a pretty big year (for technology and otherwise), so let’s ensure we go out on a high note.

Let’s strive to achieve and make sure 2013 is even better.
