Tomb Raider is looking great, and the 11 new screenshots released today add to all the visual quality the title will offer. You can thumb through them in the gallery at the base of this post.
With this new Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics is looking to reinvent the origin of Lara Croft. The game we’re all set to play should deliver a bit of Lara’s growth from a scared survivor into a tomb raiding warrior.
I experienced a bit of that newness when I played the brief demo at NYCC a few months ago. The Lara I played was one that was more emotional than stagnant, and her character reflected the nature of a damaged survivor instead of a brutal killer.
It’s an interesting take on a series so steeped in plain history. Lara’s reasoning for being who she is was never clearly stated, this game will look to rectify that issue.
Tomb Raider will launch for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on March 5th, 2013. Will you be buying it?
