Google’s 8GB Nexus 4 is once again out of stock, with the listing on the search giant’s Play store showing a big red SOLD OUT. Ever since the $299 device originally went on sale, it’s been an annoyingly hard item to come by. A second round of sales was opened up recently, but that wasn’t the smoothest of experiences, and eventually buyers were shown an estimated ship time that went into the new year.
Demand is quite obviously through the roof for Google’s new handset; hopefully the company can fulfill orders and offer up new inventory in a timely manner. The 16GB model is still available to buy, but it won’t ship for 6-7 weeks, which certainly isn’t an ideal period of time to wait. Did you get your order in? Let’s hope, because it seems like the 8GB Nexus 4 will be a rare item indeed over the next few months.
