Google-Android-Jelly_Bean-5.0-HeadMotorola Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD owners will get the wondrous snap and fluidity of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as soon as next week, Verizon announced on Friday. The update will roll out in phases, the carrier said, so customers will only need to hang on for just a little while longer.

All the big updates are included, as expected: Google Now, along with the various performance upgrades. Additionally, Verizon took the opportunity to say that the new OS will give owners improved voice and data connectivity, better native calendar settings and updated Verizon bloatware.

These are two of the biggest Motorola handset available this holiday season, but not all of the company’s handsets are getting Android 4.1, unfortunately. For those being left behind, Motorola is attempting to make amends by offering $100 back on select Motorola handsets, including: Atrix 4G, Electrify and Photon 4G, among others.
