Am I the only one who loves tech concepts? Doubtful, as people keep indulging their flights of fancy, creating fictional plays on the technologies of their dreams. Last year I was taken by one particularly lustworthy iPhone 5 concept, but this year, it’s a mobile app that has charmed the heck out of me.

Meet Steven’s Levinson‘s vision of Instagram. Not only is this one extremely fluid, intuitive and attractive approach to the popular photo snapping/editing/sharing service, but considering he’s looking for work, it’s a super way for the UI designer to show off his chops.

Of course, as a concept, this slick take may never see the light of day in a real product. Sort of makes you wish companies would open up their UX/UI or even hardware design brainstorming to the masses. They could even make it a competition, complete with voting — á la The Voice — which would guarantee a fanbase at the end of it. Now that’s a tech reality show that would make way more sense than whatever Randi Zuckerberg’s cooking up.
