Despite rumors that have claimed Apple’s new iMacs will be delayed until 2013, the popular all-in-one could be set to go on sale later today.
One Belgian blog, Belgium-iPhone.Lesoir.be, reports that Apple is delivering the new 21.5-inch model to resellers in Belgium on Wednesday, November 28, and that it could be available to order from the Cupertino company’s online store around the same time. Meanwhile, MacRumors has received a tip saying that the new iMacs would be ready to order from today, November 27:
We’re not sure if the time difference (6 hours behind U.S. Eastern) explains the conflicting time frames or if one (or both) are simply wrong. Neither sources has a track record, but both guesses are certainly realistic. Apple originally claimed that the 21.5″ iMac would begin shipping in November.
MacRumors has also obtained a copy of a purported email sent to Apple resellers from one distributor, which reads:
Whatever the case may be, one thing seems pretty clear: Apple’s new iMacs are not delayed, and they should be available to order this week — as the company promised. We’ll find out in due course exactly what day they’ll be available.
