Apple’s iPad mini and fourth generation iPad launched on Nov. 2, but 4G LTE models of both tablets have been unavailable for in-store purchase. Now, Apple is allegedly stocking its Apple Store retail locations with 4G LTE models of the fourth generation iPad.
9to5Mac first got wind of the stock, but said it’s unclear when Apple will begin selling the tablet. “Stores have been instructed to wait until word from corporate comes through to begin sales,” 9to5Mac said. Most LTE-enabled iPad mini and fourth generation iPad units are expected to arrive to anyone who pore-ordered them on Friday, so it’s very possible Apple will begin in-store sales on the same day.
