HTC DROID DNA

We were at HTC and Verizon’s press event this morning to check out the DROID DNA, the carrier’s latest and most powerful smartphone yet. It packs a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which is blazing fast, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Sense 4+ with tons of UI improvements, Beats Audio support, an 8-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Wait… hold that. 16GB of storage? Yep, it’s a bit weird, especially for such a high end device, and you can’t add microSD cards either.

But don’t let that deter you, the DROID DNA is my favorite DROID-branded device yet. It’s powerful, has an amazing 1080p display and is super thin. In fact, it tapers down to just 4mm of thickness at the edges. The 5-inch screen isn’t too big, either. It actually feels really comfortable and is easy to hold. I also love HTC’s red accenting around the sides, which it says was to add a bit of a race car look to the phone.

The DROID DNA can be pre-ordered today and will launch on Nov. 21 for $199.99 with a new two-year contract. Enjoy our gallery below.
