Samsung has this morning announced a new 85-inch Ultra HD television — the world’s largest commercialized Ultra HD LED TV — that will be on show at CES 2013. The set packs a whopping 8 million pixels, and “life-like picture quality,” according to the Korean electronics giant.
Unfortunately, Samsung kept a lot of the details close to its chest, so we have no release dates or pricing. However, we’re sure to hear more in January when the super-sized set gets its unveiling at CES.
While Samsung may be first to market with an 85-inch commercialized Ultra HD TV, its competitors aren’t far behind. Sony and Toshiba have already announced their own 84-inch Ultra HD sets, while LG began selling its own in October for just under $20,000.
