Xbox SmartGlass Now Available for Apple Devices Running iOS 5.0 and Up

Microsoft’s Xbox SmartGlass is now officially available for three major mobile OSes, following close behind the launch on Android in October. The Redmond company introduced its fancy tech to iOS on Tuesday, which will give iPad/iPhone/iPod touch and Xbox owners much more control over their consuming experience. The app is actually an update to the Xbox Live app, but there’s no degradation in what you’d find on Windows Phone 8 or Android 4.0 and up. If you’ve never heard of SmartGlass, we covered it pretty extensively when it was introduced back over the summer. There’s a ton of potential, and we can’t wait to see how publishers implement the tech into future gaming, TV and movie experiences.
