Why fix something that isn’t broken?
Samsung is allegedly — and I stress allegedly — planning a major rebrand for 2013. That’s strange, from a mobile point of view, considering the company just announced record smartphone sales. In any case, Samsung will apparently re-introduce itself at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in January, according to ChannelNews. The company is setting itself up with major new products and “superior marketing programs” the news site said.
Our issue with this report is, again, Samsung’s marketing and brand image seems to be just fine. ChannelNews’s story suggests Samsung’s only rebranding itself in an effort to continue to attack Apple. But products and sales figures speak louder than words.
