Facebook updated its iOS application with several new features on Friday. Facebook says the update should make it easier to share multiple photos with friends and to stay in touch via the social network’s built-in chat feature. You can also swipe the app left to see your buddy list and who is currently online or offline. The chat system also keeps you abreast of who is currently active online. A new favorites feature allows you to add your best firends to the top of the list, too.

Facebook also said the update now allows iOS users to buy and share “real gifts” with friends, in the United States, with Facebook Gifts. Facebook version 5.1 is available now.
