Alongside the Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina, the company is introducing a brand new, revamped Mac Mini. Phil Schiller blew through its announcement, but it certainly sounds like a very capable entry level computer for folks who want to get into Apple’s desktop ecosystem.

The base model starts off at $599, with 2.5GHz dual-core i5, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD. Those who use the Mini for a work server, a more powerful model will go for $999, and it will come equipped with a 2.3GHz quad-core i7, 4GB RAM and two 1TB HDDs.

The Mini starts shipping today.
