Asus decided not to bring the original PadFone to the United Kingdom, much to the disappointment of Brits who were itching to get their hands on the do-it-all, transforming smartphone (like me!). But the Taiwanese company won’t be forgetting about us this time around.
Adam King, a spokesman for Asus U.K., has confirmed to TechRadar that it will “definitely” be bringing the PadFone 2 to the U.K. early next year.
“As to [exactly] when I can’t say,” Kind added. “But we’ll hopefully have some more details before the end of this year.”
This is great news, especially considering the PadFone 2 is even more impressive this time around. It’s packing a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. It also boasts a 4.7-inch Super IPS+ (1280 x 720) display, a 2,140 mAh battery, and 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.
The PadFone 2 will be arriving in parts of Europe and Asia later this year, but Asus is yet to provide a specific release date.
Are you looking forward to PadFone 2?
