AT&T will reportedly begin to accept pre-orders for its new batch of Windows Phone 8 devices on Oct. 21, just a few days before Microsoft’s big Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco on Oct. 29. AT&T already confirmed that it will offer the HTC Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S, as well as Nokia’s Lumia 920 flagship and the Lumia 820.

The Verge said AT&T will also begin accepting pre-orders for its Windows 8-powered Samsung Ativ Smart PC and the ASUS Vivo Tab RT. Those devices are expected to launch on Oct. 26 while the Windows Phone 8 smartphones should hit store shelves in early November.

Microsoft continues to remain in the shadows when it comes to providing a specific launch date. “Windows Phone 8 phones will be available to customers later this year,” a Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge.
