RIM just reported its second quarter fiscal 2013 earnings results in which it recorded a loss of $0.27 per share, compared to estimates of a $0.47 loss per share, and revenue of $2.9 billion. Wall Street estimated that RIM’s revenue would fall in at $2.49 billion. RIM is still losing money, obviously, but the company at least beat the Street’s expectations.
RIM said it shipped 130,000 PlayBooks during the quarter and 7.4 million smartphones.
