Apple began accepting pre-orders at 12:01 a.m. Pacific last night. The device will also be in stores on Sept. 21, if you’re willing to wait in a line. If you missed out on the pre-orders however, which will ship on the 21st, you’ll have to wait a bit until your new iPhone 5 ships from Apple. That news is courtesy of the Apple’s website, which now says all three models of the iPhone 5, on all three carriers offering it in the United States, will ship in 2 weeks.
As 9to5Mac points out, however, each carrier’s website still says the device will ship on Sept. 21; so it’s unclear if the delay is only from Apple directly.
The iPhone 5 wasn’t the only thing flying off Apple’s digital store shelves. Apple’s new 30-pin to Lightning port connector is also sold out and new units won’t ship until next month.
