HP has already pretty much confirmed that it has a Windows 8 tablet on the way – not a Windows RT slate, mind you — and now the company has officially hinted at the device in a short “Make it Matter” commercial clip. The HP-branded tablet appears to have either a metal or a white back with black edges and looks quite similar to an iPad from the back.

There’s not much else to gather from the commercial other than HP clearly has a tablet up its sleeves. You can see the tab make a quick appearance right around the 0:55 mark in the video above. We imagine we’ll hear more from HP, and Microsoft, when Windows 8 launches on October 26th.
