Google: 400M Devices Sold to Date, 1M Everyday, 12 Devices Every Second

Google announced at its I/O conference that 400 million Android devices have been sold to date. In addition, the company said there are 1 million Android activations everyday, which equates to about 12 new devices every second. That’s an incredible adoption rate that eclipses even Apple’s number. In fact, adoption grew by 500 percent in developing nations — Brazil, India, Thailand and Indonesia — last year alone.
