You’ll Get Android 4.0 Soon, Verizon Tells RAZR and RAZR MAXX Owners

By | 988

DROID RAZR MAXXVerizon is dangling Ice Cream Sandwich right in front of DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX owner faces. Reports on Friday revealed the carrier has begun to send out teasing messages about the OS’s imminent arrival, with no exact date to speak of.

“Free Verizon Message: Your phone will soon be upgraded to Android 4.0,” the message begins. Verizon goes on to urge folks to delete and replace Verizon Wireless Mobile IM because it’s not supported in Android 4.0. I’m sure Google’s newish OS is more than a fair tradeoff for a proprietary messaging client.

ICS was previously promised to hit during Q2 and these messages would suggest the deadline will be met, assuming Verizon rolls out the update in the next couple weeks.
