My Xbox Live App Finally Lands on Android, iOS Version Gets an Update
By Mark Hearn | 2
Android users that get their gaming fix from Microsoft’s Xbox platform will be happy to know that the My Xbox Live app is now available for their preferred mobile OS. Supporting Android version 2.2 and beyond, this app allows users to send and receive messages from Xbox Live friends, edit their Xbox Live profile, track achievements and customize their avatar. Sadly that’s about all this new Android app is capable of, as its current version doesn’t support integration with the Xbox 360 console.
However, iPhone users have managed score some nifty new features with a fresh update to their version of My Xbox Live. Version 1.5 of Microsoft’s app introduces the ability to use your iPhone as a remote control for your Xbox 360, something that Windows Phone users have been cooing about for months now. Not being left out of the festivities, Apple’s iPad has also received stability improvement and high-resolution image support.
