Google Preparing to Show Newest Maps Technology on June 6

We’re expecting Apple and Google Maps to part ways when WWDC kicks off on June 11. The week before, on June 6, Google wants to show the world why this is a very, very bad move on Apple’s part. The search giant is apparently preparing to hold a press conference for a “behind-the-scenes look at Google Maps” and to reveal the company’s “vision” of what’s to come. We’ll also get a look at Google’s “newest technology” and a “sneak peek at upcoming features that will help people get where they want to go — both physically and virtually.” Will Google’s announcement be enough to make Apple change its mind?
