Sprint To Offer Unlimited Data With New iPhone, CEO Says
By Todd Haselton | 1
Sprint has already promised to continue offering its unlimited data plans with its new 4G LTE smartphones, but now we know that the carrier will continue that tradition with the next iPhone (iPhone 5?) also. Speaking with CNET recently, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said there’s no plan to drop the unlimited data for any new phone. ”I’m not anticipating the unlimited plan would change by that point,” Hesse explained. “That’s our distinctive differentiator. Frankly, it’s a marriage made in heaven. We’re clearly attracting customers from our competitors.” Sprint announced on Wednesday that it sold 1.5 million iPhones during the first quarter of 2012, 44% of which were to new Sprint customers.
