Acer V3 Series notebook

Acer has unveiled its new V3 series of “all-around performance” notebooks which are “optimized for today’s digital needs.” The family includes 14-, 15.6-, and 17.3-inch models, all of which are packing Intel’s latest generation of Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce GT Series graphics.

The lineup also offers a number of features that aim to deliver an exceptional entertainment experience. The 17.3-inch model, for example, packs an Acer CineCrystal HD+ 1,600 x 900 LED display, Dolby Home Theatre v4, and a Blu-ray disc drive. If that display isn’t quite big enough for you, you can hook the notebook up to your HDTV with the built-in HDMI connection.

As you’d expect, all models offer Wi-Fi and Gigabyte Ethernet connectivity, along with a Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam for high-resolution video calling. You can also expect to see Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, and a multi functional card slot.

Acer promises that those specifications make for excellent performance when multitasking “with lots of apps, music, Internet video, movies, games and more.

The V3 series sports a chiclet keyboard and multitouch touchpad, and comes in “Midnight Black,” “Dawn Gold,” “Nightfall Gray,” and “Thunderbolt Silver.” Acer is yet to announce pricing or availability for the V3 series, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information.
