U.K. Sports Fans Get ESPN For Free This Weekend On TVCatchup & TV

TVCatchup is a website that every smartphone and tablet user should have at the top of their bookmarks. I’m sure many of you have already discovered the service, but if you haven’t, it allows you to watch live television on mobile devices, or through a web browser on your computer. It offers a great selection of Freeview channels, and best of all, it’s completely free to use; there’s no sign up fee or subscription charge.
And there’s no better time to discover the service than this weekend, when TVCatchup will be offering the ESPN channel for free, allowing viewers to tune into live soccer games from the English Premier League, Serie A, and the Bundesliga; in addition to live basketball from the NBA. Saturday’s Premier League game, which will see league leaders Manchester City take on Fulham at the Etihad Stadium, will be the first Premier League fixture ever to be made available for free, according to ESPN. The broadcaster will be making its channel available to all from 6 AM GMT today, Friday, February 3; and it will remain free until 6 AM GMT on Monday, February 6.
So how do you tune in? Well, there are a number of ways: If you want to watch on an Android device, just visit m.tvcatchup.com in your web browser. If you’re using an iPhone, it’s iphone.tvcatchup.com; and for the iPad, it’s ipad.tvcatchup.com. Alternatively, you can use the free TVCatchup app for the iOS available in the App Store.
You can also tune in on your television: Sky customers can visit channel 417; while BT Vision, TopUpTV, and Freeview customers can use channel 34.
