Sky TV has issued a major update to its new Sky Go service today which finally introduces more Sky Movies channels for streaming to mobiles and PCs, and access to movies on-demand. The update increases the Sky Movies selection from just four to eleven channels, and offers subscribers a stack of movies for viewing anytime over both Wi-Fi and 3G.
Sky Go is currently available on selected smartphones and tablets with the official Sky Go application, and on your Mac or PC via a web browser. Thanks to today’s update, the service is even more of a must-have.
In addition to eleven Sky Movies channels, which you can watch live, the application now offers a ton of movies in all genres that can be streamed on-demand, with films like Black Swan, Limitless, Little Fockers, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows all due to be shown.
Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies, said the update helps subscribers get more out of Sky:
“Sky Movies on demand is a great addition to Sky Go and gives customers complete control over how, when and now where they enjoy the latest movies.
“Alongside other recent additions to Sky Movies like Anytime+ and 3D, the launch of Sky Movies on Sky Go helps customers get even more value out of Sky.”
Sky Movies subscribers can access the Sky Go application completely free of charge on their iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, with support for Android devices coming soon, according to the company. In addition to the Movies channels, users can also enjoy Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, and 4; Sky Sports News; and ESPN.
